Common Application Methods: White fir essential oil be applied neat (with no dilution) when used topically. Apply to reflex points and/or directly on area of concern; diffuse.
Diffuse or inhale the aroma directly.

Properties: Analgesic, antiarthritic, anticatarrhal, antiseptic (pulmonary), expectorant, and stimulant.
Historical Uses: The fir tree is the classic Christmas tree (short with the perfect pyramidal shape and silvery white bark). Though highly regarded for its fragrant scent, the fir tree has been prized through the ages for its medicinal virtues in regards to respiratory complaints, fever, and muscular and rheumatic pain.
French Medicinal Uses: Bronchitis, respiratory congestion, energy.
Other Possible Uses: Fir creates the symbolic effect of an umbrella protecting the earth and bringing energy in from the universe. At night the animals in the wild lie down under the tree for the protection, recharging, and rejuvenation the trees bring them. Fir may be beneficial for reducing aches/pains from colds and the flu, fighting airborne germs/bacteria, arthritis, asthma, supporting the blood, bronchial obstructions, coughs, fevers, oxygenating the cells, rheumatism, sinusitis, and urinary tract infections.

Oral Use As Dietary Supplement: White fir oil in general is approved by the FDA (21CFR172.510) for use as a Food Additive (FA) and Flavoring Agent (FL). Dilute one drop oil in 1 tsp. honey or in 4 oz. of beverage (i.e. soy/rice milk). Not for children under 6 years old; use with caution and in greater dilution for children 6 years old and over.
